Buenos Aires Players: Educational Theatre in English

BAP is the first professional company to produce educational plays in English in Argentina.

Buenos Aires Players was born as the first professional company to produce educational plays in English in Argentina. Since 1992 they have been presenting plays directed, written and developed for different ages and academic levels. BAP wants to give children and teenagers the opportunity to enjoy their shows, work with the material and live an experience that awakens their motivation to learn and fully understand the English Language.

30 years of sharing over a hundred magical productions all over the country and abroad have given BAP the experience to successfully merge the theatrical experience with language teaching. In return, they are rewarded with the enthusiasm of their audiences and the gratitude of teachers across the country. Designed to amuse, entertain and educate, each play has a moral that reinforces important values.

All of their plays include supplementary material to integrate the theatrical experience with classroom work before and after the shows.

Why Educational Theatre?

Educational Theatre is for the passion-driven teacher, the educator who truly wants to make a difference by inspiring their students to learn the English language through the use of the performing arts. Nearly 30 years of producing over 100 productions have enabled them to create a magical and unforgettable experience on stage, off stage and in the classroom. In addition, it has been “Declared of National Cultural Interest” by the Secretariat of Culture and Communication.

Last Saturday, February 12th, BAP held its Annual Congress “Teaching through the Arts” at Teatro Ludé (Montevideo 842, CABA) where previews of this years plays were presented:

The purpose of this event was to provide passionate teachers with innovative educational tools and material to take to class, as well as to invite them to share once more BAPs passion for the Arts. This has been their first in-person event since 2020 and their return, together with audiences, teachers, schools and parents’ joy of having them back on stage has been heart-warming and given BAP new energy to start this new year!
Revista COLEGIO was once again present at the presentation, accompanying and encouraging BAP’s proposal by giving testimony of the brilliance of their performances.

Buenos Aires Players nació como la primera compañía profesional en producir obras de teatro educativas en inglés en Argentina. Desde 1992 presentamos obras de teatro dirigidas, escritas y desarrolladas para diferentes edades y niveles académicos. BAP quiere brindarles a los niños y adolescentes la oportunidad de disfrutar de nuestros espectáculos, trabajar con nuestro material y vivir una experiencia que despierte su motivación para aprender y comprender plenamente el Idioma Inglés.
30 años compartiendo más de cien mágicas producciones por todo el país y el exterior nos han dado la experiencia para fusionar exitosamente la experiencia teatral con la enseñanza de idiomas. A cambio, somos recompensados con el entusiasmo de nuestra audiencia y la gratitud de los maestros de todo el país. Diseñado para divertir, entretener y educar, cada obra tiene una moraleja que fortalece valores importantes.
Todas nuestras obras incluyen material complementario para integrar la experiencia teatral con el trabajo de aula antes y después de ver los espectáculos.
¿Por qué Teatro Educativo?
El teatro educativo es para el maestro impulsado por la pasión, el educador que realmente quiere marcar la diferencia al inspirar a sus alumnos a aprender el idioma inglés mediante el uso de las artes escénicas. Desde 1992 hemos sido la primera empresa en producir obras de teatro educativas en inglés. Casi 30 años realizando más de 100 producciones nos han permitido crear una experiencia mágica e inolvidable en el escenario, fuera del escenario y en el aula. Ha sido “Declarada de Interés Cultural Nacional” por la Secretaría de Cultura y Comunicación de la Presidencia de la Nación.
El pasado sábado 13 de febrero en el teatro Ludé (Montevideo y Av. Córdoba, CABA) llevamos a cabo nuestro Congreso Anual “Enseñando a través de las Artes” . El propósito de este evento es proporcionar a los maestros apasionados herramientas educativas innovadoras. Revista COLEGIO, una vez más se hizo presente acompañando a los artistas, alentando la propuesta de BAP y dando testimonio de la brillantez de sus representaciones.
